Bear Lake in September

Bear Lake in September.

Something about September brings out the best in Bear Lake. There is very little wind, the water is always smooth, the air is the perfect temp, and as always, the food is excellent.

Thursday night we stayed up chit chatting. Riley Johnson was laying on the comedy pretty thick. Riley, did you remember to feed your chicken?

Friday morning we went for an ATV ride, and then we set up camp at the beach.

The dogs had a ball! We played football and dug in the sand.

Saturday we went to the pool and boating.

We took the quads for a nice ride. We saw a moose and got a little dirty.

A couple of notes from this trip:

Neeko, we are glad you decided to come back. Your return made the trip complete.

If you go to Bear Lake with Brianna, plan on over eating.

Always wear sunscreen…Ryan!

All children under the age of 10 will be exhausted by 9:00 pm.

It’s really hard to leave, isn’t it mitch?

Last, but not least.

Thanks Mom and Dad!

1st day of school

Today was the 1st day back to school. The kids were excited to see old friends,
make new ones, and meet their new teachers.

Anya is in 1st grade this year. She is very excited!!! She loves having lunch and recess this year, and riding the bus with her big brother.
Gavin is in 6th grade this year and he is excited to rule the school! He rotates through all 4 teachers this year so he will be ready for
Jr. High next year. Where did my little boy go???
Cloe` is in 9th grade this year. She has a very full load, but can't wait to get going. It was her 1st day as student body president, and her 1st day of seminary. Tomorrow is her 1st match on the highschool tennis team in Logan. Good luck sis!
When I was a little girl, my mom always made cookies for us on the 1st day of school. I always loved running home knowing that she would be waiting for us with her homemade cookies. I am carrying on the tradition with my own kids. Every year I make our favorite chocolate chip cookies. Anya also put in a special request... "Mom I want you to make sugar cookies with no frosting please". So this year I made both. YUMMY!!!

We as a family are expanding the tradition. The kids love to deliver homemade cookies to their friends when they get home from school. What a great day it's been!!!

1st lost tooth!!!

Anya finally lost her 1st tooth on the 5th of August.
She never thought this day would come. She has
been wiggling her tooth forever.

She was eating dinner over at Cami's house and
she bit into an apple and out popped her tooth.
She was so excited, she came running over to tell
me all about it, and then we had to take some
photo's of course.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great Holiday.  It all started Thursday night.  Brianna and I went to see a movie with Cami and Todd.  We are so lucky to have such great neighbors.  We'll miss you guys while you're in St. George.

Friday morning we went to 9th Street with Darren and Cami to take the kids climbing and enjoy a "Good Old American Breakfast" at Jeremiah's.  It was a great time hanging on the side of the rock with old friends. Friday night we decorated Cloe's SBO trailer/float for the parade.  Of course Todd and Cami were there to help.

We are so lucky to have such good friends.  Thanks everyone for your support and friendship.

Saturday morning Brianna and I ran our first 5k.  We had a great time, came home and changed quickly for the parade.  Cloe and her SBO friends cheered until their voices were gone.

We wrapped up the Holiday with a nice BBQ at Ken and Joann's.
She did it!  Suga ran her first 5k.  The Layton City Fun Run on July 4th.  Her time was 35 minutes.  She spent 7 weeks training.
Thanks to Cami and Dani for their help and encouragement.

When she finished the race, they race assistant was slowly removing the time chip from Brianna's shoe.  Brianna had to say, "Hurry, I'm going to pass out."

Luckily there was no passing out and we all had a great time.
